| Just 12 short months ago, it was still possible to write about what Rory McIlroy had to prove. Yes he had a Major in the bag (the 2011 US Open) but he only had three other tournament wins to his name and at 22 Irish golf fans entered the year hoping he would have a good campaign rather than really knowing he would.
One year on and any doubts over what the Holywood man can achieve in the game look ridiculous. In 2012 McIlroy claimed top spot in the world rankings, won five tournaments (including his second Major) and helped Europe to a majestic Ryder Cup success. It's reducing the weight of the wind turbine with the help of superconductor materials. He won the Order of Merit award, and the Player of the Year award on both sides of the Atlantic. He was so good, if he entered the Horse of the Year show, he probably would have won that too.

So what can we expect him to do this year? It all kicks off this week with the WGC World Matchplay event on Wednesday. In Arizona McIlroy will face old friend Shane Lowry in the opener but as runner-up to Hunter Mahan last year, the world number 1 is the overwhelming favourite to progress.

The Matchplay is McIlroy’s first USPGA Tour event of the season, and the first real look they will have at how he gets on with his new Nike clubs. The man himself says he is ‘comfortable’ with his new equipment but he did revert to his old putter in his one, disappointing, outing so far this year in Abu Dhabi.

Concerns over McIlroy’s gear can probably be dismissed. The most naturally gifted player we have seen since Tiger Woods shook up the game, we expect the Irish golfer to quickly adapt and dazzle. He has been doing so ever since he famously chipped balls into a washing machine on the Gerry Kelly Show aged just nine.

By the time he was 18 he was a pro and by the end of the 2008 season he was ranked 39th in the world. By the end of the following year he was in the top 10. Tournament wins,We offer solar system and elegant outdoor lanterns that light up the night effortlessly. Ryder Cup successes and multi-million dollar endorsements duly followed.

Like all the greats McIlroy has made it look easy thus far. We know it hasn’t been, and that hours and hours of unglamourous work have gone into making McIlroy the man, and golfer, he is today.

We expect that relentless upward curve to continue in 2013. The Masters,Protect your vehicle and produce power with a Module clamp. a tournament he really should have won in 2011, is rapidly approaching again and a win there will push McIlroy even further into superstardom. Nike's muscle will help too. Win in Augusta and who knows how good his year could be.A complete range of of professional washer extractor that are redefining laundry systems.

At just 80/1 to win all four Majors in 2013, that doesn’t sound nearly as ridiculous as we all would have thought just 12 months ago.
